Dear Student Group Officers,

(1) ASA Orientation Midway: Friday, August 31, from 3pm-5pm
(2) LEF/ARCADE Deadline: Sunday, September 2, 2012

(1) ASA Orientation Midway: Friday, August 31, from 3pm-5pm

This is a reminder that the Fall 2012 ASA Midway will take place this
Friday, August 31, from 3-5pm.

If you would like to apply for a spot on the waitlist, you can do so
here: http://asa.scripts.mit.edu/applications/midway/midway.php

If you have a table at the Midway, please note the following:

1. You must check in by 2:40pm, or your table will be re-assigned to
someone on the waitlist. You may arrive to set up beginning at 2pm.

2. If your group can no longer attend or perform at the Midway, please
let us know via email at asa-midway at mit.edu at least 24 hours in
advance. Failure to cancel within 24 hours will result in a $25 fine;
failure to cancel by the start of check-in will result in a $75 fine.
Groups that leave before the conclusion of the Midway without
permission from the ASA will incur the same $75 fine.

3. Individuals who have received an ASA-sponsored early return must
attend the Midway and check in with ASA, or they will be required to
pay for the return.

4. Please remember that no external speakers may be used at the
booths. The ASA board reserves the right to request that volume be
reduced or sound turned off if it becomes a problem for neighboring
groups or performances.

5. For safety reasons, please remember to stay at or by your booth at
all times. Do not block any entrances or aisles or hand out flyers at
the doorway.

(2) LEF/ARCADE Deadline Sunday, September 2, 2012

The deadline for fall-cycle LEF and ARCADE funding applications is
Sunday, September 2 at 11:59 pm. This deadline is for events occurring
between October 1, 2012, and December 31, 2012. The application and
more  information about the funds are available online:

LEF-ARCADE office hours will generally be held in the ASA Office,
W20-401, 8:00pm-9:00pm on Tuesdays and 7:00pm-8:00pm on Thursdays, but
please check our online calendar:
http://web.mit.edu/asa/about/office-hours.html for additional hours
and cancellations before coming.
