Announcing .... MIT L.E.A.D - Lead. Engage. Act. Develop.

MIT is thrilled to unveil a new leadership development opportunity for students and groups. What is MIT L.E.A.D.? It is an effort to provide intentional and easily accessible forms of leadership training for MIT students and student organizations. It also incorporates the SAO’s financial trainings (see below for more information). MIT L.E.A.D. consists of three parts:

 1. A series of workshops happening over the fall and spring semesters.
 2. An online repository of trainings and resource documents.
 3. An online Facilitator’s Bureau.

The Fall 2011 workshop offerings include everything from nuts and bolts of event planning to navigating complicated aspects of group dynamic and conflict resolution. For a complete list of course offerings, please visit (or see below) http://studentlife.mit.edu/sao/leadership/mitlead.

Our first session, Student Organization 101, starts next week on Tuesday, September 20! It is all about surviving and thriving as a student organization at MIT. Enrollment is limited and participants are confirmed on a first come, first served basis. Dinner is provided, and you can sign-up here: http://housing.mit.edu/mit_lead_registration_form.
