information material kindly asking you to provide them among your students.
You can find the email below.

I am very grateful for your support so far, there have already been lots of
registrations for UROP projects. The deadline for applications is
approaching soon on January 31, 2010 and I would appreciate it very much if
you could continue promoting UROP International 2010 in your institution and
tell interested colleagues or students about the program in order to let as
many students as possible share in the great summer research experience at
RWTH Aachen University.

Please find attached the flyer for UROP International 2010 at RWTH Aachen
University which is open to all bachelor students from US and Canadian
universities.  

RWTH Aachen University, Germany, is one of Europe's leading universities of
science and technology and distinguished by Germany's Excellence Initiative.

The program UROP International is specifically designed for highly qualified
US and Canadian undergraduates who are motivated to conduct their own
independent research project at one of the RWTH institutes, being mentored
by excellent scientific staff from our university, while spending a summer
abroad. 

Further program elements include an intensive German language training,
intercultural seminars, workshops introducing the broader field of research
and various leisure activities. Students will experience a complete program
taking into account all different aspects of their stay abroad.

In order to participate in the program, students need to register in our
program database which can also be found on our homepage. Application
deadline is January 31, 2010. One important aspect for your students might
be the financial issue: In 2010, 30 scholarships will be available which
will be awarded to students with a minimum GPA of 3.2. Thereby, priority
will be given to students coming from universities with reciprocal
agreements. 

You are welcome to distribute the information about UROP among your
colleagues and interested students, to include the program flyer on your
website or into a newsletter. The attachments include PDF files of our
information material as well as a version of the flyer which you can print
out by yourself if you wish to. If you would like to receive print-outs of
either the flyer or the poster or both please let me know.
I will be happy to send them to you by regular mail.
