Won't be long now and the 15th Annual Portland Oct TangoFest will be
happening.  (Go to www.claysdancestudio.com for details.) This year
lots of new ideas and changes.  Here's a list of some of the features
I think you're gonna love!

* All classes and nearly all milongas will be in Norse Hall (schedule).
* Beside a Mostly Alternative Milonga on Thu, Fri and Sat afternoon
(1:00-4:00p), there will now also be a
* Traditional Matinee Milonga Thu, Fri and Sun starting right after
classes are over--or, if you prefer,
* A free practica on Thu, Fri and Sat after classes.
* This year, no name badges and no need to decide ahead of time what
class times you want.  Instead, just purchase tokens by
pre-registration or on-site which are good for any class.
* Two free seminars: "A Talk on Tango Lyrics" by Derrik on Fri after
classes and a  reading/discussion of Dujovne's new book "In Strangers
Arms: the Magic of Tango" on Sat after classes.
* Both the Fri and Sat evening milongas will now be
traditional/alternative split milongas--i.e, a traditional and
alternative milonga will be going on concurrently.  For one admission
fee you can go back and forth to either of them.
