Modesto  is honored to welcome back Hugo "El Gato" Valdez and his partner Andrea Monti for a milonga and workshops on the weekend of October 17 & 18.

Gato and Andrea have spent the past ten years performing and
teaching at festivals all over the world, as well as in their home
town of Buenos Aires.  They are known for their elegant and
classical "Salon" style of tango, and for their clear teaching and
meticulous attention to detail.
 
The milonga  takes place at Jacobs Fine Dining at 2501 McHenry Avenue, beginning with a 7:30 p.m introductory tango lesson by Gato & Andrea followed with social dancing at 8:30 and a performance  by Gato & Andrea around 10:15 p.m.  
Modesto is known  for having the most elegant milongas in the California central valley.  Jacobs Restaurant offers a wonderful menu and food can be ordered till 10 p.m.  
Entry to the milonga: $10 for the lesson, $5 milonga only.

Join us  Saturday October 17 &  Sunday October 18  for  workshops with this dynamic couple.

This year they are offering four workshops, covering Ladies  techniques,   tango fundamentals, milonga  and vals rhythm. 
 
All classes will be held at Juline School of Dance, 144 Woodrow  - near McHenry Avenue in Modesto, 
Sat. October 17  11-12:15 pm Special Class on Technique for  Women
Sat. October 17  12:30-1:45 pm Milonga - Rhythm and musicality.

Sun. October 18 12:00-1:15 pm  Tango Fundamentals for all levels.
Sun. October 18  1:30 -2:45 pm Vals Rhythm and musicality.

Classes are $30 each, or $25 each for three or more.
