 Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to study with a true tango maestro!

Daniel Trenner is one of Tango's modern pioneers. He happened on Tango in Buenos Aires in 1986 while he was there teaching Jazz and Improvisation at the State School of Contemporary Dance. He was one of the first dozen young people involved in tango's revival. He studied with, interviewed, filmed and organized for many of the Milongueros, the older generation dancers. He has been called a “Johnny Appleseed of Tango” for his 20 years of touring as a tango teacher, visiting more than 100 cities on 4 continents. He was one of the early proponents of teaching tango by its elements, he created the first Tango tours to Buenos Aires (Bridge to the Tango), and the first Tango store in North America (The Tango Catalogue). 7 PM to 8:30 PM – Class 1 - Absolute Beginners Workshop - 
Daniel's famous Intro to Tango class. Experienced dancers will benefit from this totally basic approach, so if you've never experienced this class from Daniel please come whatever your level. Bring your non- dancer friends and get them started!!

8:45p-10:15p- Class 2 - The Embraces- open, close, and flexible - All level dancers

10:15p- 12:30am- Practica - $10.

12p- 1:30p- Class 3 - Tango through the lens of its Default Vocabulary -all level

1:45p- 3:15p- Class 4 - Modern Tango Technology
>From Cadena (Chain) to Alteraciones (Alterations) (Changes in Direction of Turns) - Intermediate

3:30p- 5p- Class 5 - Expanding the Boundaries of Contemporary Tango
Exchange of Lead and Follow- Intermediate

Saturday 7:30p-10p Tango Asheville milonga at FILO  (separate fee at the door $5)

7 PM to 10 PM- Tango Asheville supervised practica –w/ Daniel Trenner (separate fee at door $10.)

Class levels

Absolute beginner – just that! This is a great opportunity to begin the journey into Argentine tango with one of the men who pioneered the dance in this country. Also for experienced dancers, great refresher. 

All level – From new beginner to experienced dancer. These classes will begin at a very basic level and progress to a level that will stimulate and challenge everyone. Note to beginners – take what you can from these classes and let the rest be food for thought for the future!

Intermediate – for experienced dancers who are comfortable in their fundamental Argentine tango vocabulary. These classes will progress to challenge the majority of the participants.
