Dear Tangueros

For all of you who missed the first Workshop, you can still sign up for this
last Workshop this Friday, May 11th. Don't miss it, this is the last one
and fundamental knowledge for all dancers.

These two Workshops are special designed for dancers, and for all of you who
want to learn more about one of the most sophisticated and beloved music of
the world.

Conducted by Tango Pianist Octavio Brunetti, (see Bio below) one of the most
sought after Tango Pianists in the US, who won the international Tango
competition in New York City and has played with various Tango Orchestras in
Argentina, Europe and New York for over 15 years, will share all his
knowledge of Tango Music, and together with Tango Instructor Annatina, will
take the theory to the practice. Octavio and Annatina have not only
experience as performers, but also as teachers, and the clear structured
workshops are special designed to improve everyone's musicality. You will
learn to use the music in your favor, improve rhythm and dynamics, and also
learn to interpret the styles of the different orchestras. Only a solid
knowledge about the music will allow you to have the freedom to interpret it
and make it your friend, so you will be able to add your own style to your
dancing.

In this workshop we will focus on two different orchestras, Hector Varela &
Osvaldo Pugliese, two remarkable and most contrasting orchestras of the
40's and 50's. Live examples on the Piano, special developed, playful
exercises and more tricks and insights will make this workshop a fun and
meaningful experience for all levels.

Octavio Brunetti, (Pianist & Arranger) born in Rosario, Argentina, has
started playing Piano as a very young child. From his early childhood on his
was trained in classical Piano, and before he even finished his studies at
the National School of Music his was already playing in concerts discovering
his passion for the music from his country, the Tango. In no time he played
with many important musicians, such as famous singer Alberto Castillo,
Eladia Blazquez, Ruben Juarez, Domingo Federico, Rodolfo Mederos, Osvaldo
Piro, he has shared the stage with Horacio Salgan-De Lio, Atilio Stampone
and was a co-arranger for the piece "LEVANTE" by the renowned composer
Osvaldo Golijov. His talent earned him many awards and took him to perform
at the famous Teatro Colon, Teatro San Martin, Buenos Aires, Teatro San
Martin in Cordoba, still at a very young age. In 2002 he was named conductor
at the Provincial Orchestra of Popular Music in Cordoba, Argentina.

After an extensive European Tour he came to the US, and it was no surprise
that in his first participation of the International Tango Competition in
New York he took first price in both Categories: Best Solo Pianist and Best
Duo.

He successfully tours with his own band, the Octavio Brunetti Quintet, and
is one of the most sought after Tango Pianists of our times. His recordings
include "Saludos" with Domingo Federico, Tierra y Asfalto by
Brunetti-Carballo, "Inquietudes", with Omar Torres Quintet, and most
recently he has recorded "Soledad" by Astor Piazzolla with world most famous
cellist, Yo-Yo Ma, who said about Mr. Brunetti: ".A wonderful Tango Pianist,
within minutes it felt as if we'd been playing together for years". (CD
"Appassionato" by Sony BMG-Classical).
