Judy Margolis & Jon Martin are Americans who live and work in Buenos
Aires, devoting their lives to the art and practice and preservation of
tango as danced in the traditional clubs of Buenos Aires. They are
highly respected in their adopted Argentine homeland and understand, as
few Americans do, how the native porteños dance tango socially. They
describe their lives as 'living and breathing tango' and believe the
soul of tango is found between a man and a woman dancing on a public floor.

They have the know-how to transmit what they have learned to American
audiences and are known for their clear teaching style, beautiful
embrace and precise footwork.

They have taught and performed CLOSE EMBRACE BUENOS AIRES SOCIAL AND
EXHIBITION TANGO at major tango events around the US and Buenos Aires
and are the foreigners most often asked to perform in Buenos Aires. Some
of their Buenos Aires performances have been with the show '
Milonguisimo', as well as at the milongas of Confiteria Ideal, Porteño y
Bailarin, Sunderland, El Nacional, El Trovador, Niño Bien, Glorias
Argentinas, Pigmalion, Viejo Correo, La Milonguita, Salon Dandi, and others.

U.S. performance, teaching, and choreography credits include: Las Vegas
Tango Festivals, Tango Fireworks, Dallas Valentine Tango Weekend, Public
TV Special, Hispanic Cultural Showcase, Featured performers for numerous
fundraisers, dances, private parties and Dance Showcases. They created,
produced, and performed in a major fundraiser 'A Night in Buenos Aires',
a sellout, which garnered rave reviews.

Judy & Jon have wonderful response to workshops and private lessons and
have a lot to offer US communities because they speak English, work as a
couple, and started learning tango in the US. In Buenos Aires they
learned what Argentine tango is about and now use their skills to help
students feel comfortable dancing tango anywhere in the world.

They are known for the intensity of their dance and for their excellent
social dance style. They are acclaimed for their clear teaching
technique and individual attention to students. What is more, Jon and
Judy are great communicators--witty, energetic, and fun.
