Tango With the Buddha at Omega Institute
Tango Zen Weekend Workshop with Chan Park and Helena Bacellar
July 7-9, 2006 (2 nights, Fri - Sun)
http://www.eomega.org/omega/workshops/9aa7d5cbca30720ed59fe4a8aa43cd2e/

For singles and couples of all experience levels, including beginners.

Experience Tango Zen, an innovative yet natural way of meditating while
dancing. Zen teaches you to devote 100 percent of your attention to what you
are doing here and now. Tango is a dance of connection, uniting partners as
one while moving and listening to music together. Tango can be fully enjoyed
only if you completely surrender to and connect with your partner as you
dance.

This weekend you will learn exercises adapted from martial arts, meditation
techniques, sports, and tango that lead you naturally into mindfulness.
Practicing these exercises over time will increase your focus, balance,
connection, centering, grounding, and weight-shifting skills. Tango Zen will
help you:
- Enhance self-awareness
- Experience holistic connection with partner, music, and your surroundings
- Acquire walking meditation skills
- Learn basic tango dance techniques.

Note: Wear comfortable clothes and socks for classes. A partner is not
required but encouraged.

Chan Park is an innovative and adventurous tango dance instructor and
walking meditation coach. He has made it his quest to promote tango and
walking meditation for pleasure and inner peace. For years, Chan has offered
workshops in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. Chan recently
published a book titled Tango Zen: Walking Dance Meditation.

Helena Bacellar practices meditation and Hatha yoga. She graduated from the
year-long Anusara Yoga Teacher Training program at Willow Street Yoga in
Maryland and has been teaching regularly for 2 years. She is a RYT-200
member of the Yoga Alliance. For Helena, Tango Zen combines her passion for
dancing with the meditative and transcending quality of yoga. It is a
beautiful expression of the heart, a way to develop awareness, mindfulness
and to be fully present in the world, while sharing the experience with a
partner.
