The program for the Milonguero Tango Week(end) with Alicia Pons and
Robert Hauk in Urbana IL Feb 9-14, 2007 is nearing completion. A

Workshops will be taught by Alicia and Robert both separately and
together. There are several themes in the workshop sessions:

(1) "Tango for the Woman's Enjoyment: Leader & Follower Interaction"
(Alicia & Robert)

(2) "Men and Women's Strategies and Technique for Managing the Crowded
Dance Floor " (Alicia)

(3) "The Core of Milonguero Style Tango" (Robert)

Most workshops are at the intermediate and advanced level, although
there will be some workshops for those who are new to the milonguero
style of tango.

With this emphasis, this week(end) is an opportunity for immersion in
the close embrace milonguero style of tango danced in the milongas of
Buenos Aires and at the major tango festivals in the US, as well as an
increasing number of local tango communities throughout the US.
Urbana-Champaign IL, with one of the most highly developed close
embrace tango communities in the Midwest, provides the supportive
atmosphere for enhancing your experience.

There will be milongas Friday and Saturday night for your enjoyment.

Our tango weekends and festivals attract many of the best milonguero
style tango dancers in the Midwest and beyond. Mark your calendar and
plan to attend. You will enjoy yourself while improving your tango
skills.
