Hi Everyone -

We'd appreciate your help in letting people in your area know that MIT Medical is hosting a walk-in clinic on Wednesday, Dec. 16 to administer H1N1 vaccinations to a newly expanded group of eligible individuals. The clinic will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Stratton Student Center (Mezzanine; 3rd floor) and is open to:

* All MIT students
* All MIT Health Plan members ages 10-25
* All MIT employees under age 25
* MIT employees and MIT Health Plan members ages 25-64 who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza
* Pregnant women and caregivers of infants younger than six months old

Individuals aged 25-64 who receive a shot will be asked to confirm that they have a condition that puts them at higher risk of complications from influenza. These risk factors include:

* pulmonary conditions, including asthma
* cardiovascular conditions other than hypertension
* renal, hepatic, cognitive, hematologic, neurologic/neuromuscular or metabolic disorders, including diabetes mellitus
* Immunosuppressive conditions, including those caused by medications or HIV infection.

As always, for the most up-to-date influenza-related information, visit MIT Medical's Flu Central webpage at http://mit.edu/fluinfo
