    Not really clear why it matters that it's a mouthful. Who'll be
    saying it anyway. But I added a redirect so that the following
    works. Not sure if it's any better.
    http://openwetware.org/user/Johncumbers

    We're currently using these third level domains for dewikifying
    and so we'd have to decide what gets priority. Something like
    foo.user.openwetware.org could work.
