It's too late to address the current situation but I can float up to $15k immediately to pay for upgrade to server, redundant server capability professionally managed, and so on (along the lines of Jay's comments from our last SC meeting). 

Ilya, would you be able and excited to lead this?

Also, for those of you who are part of the iCampus grant, why isn't this a good use of that funding (existing or supplementary)?

Regardless, you are greenlighted to spend upto $15k now.

FYI.  This means that there's no access to www.openwetware.org and 
parts.mit.edu from outside building 68.
