[Mitai-announce] DarfurFast tomorrow

Our friends at MIT-STAND (a student anti-genocide group) are hosting
'DarfurFast' tomorrow.

The idea is simple: you fast from one or more luxury items (ie coffee,
food, the morning paper...) and instead donate the money to fund the
Civilian Protection Program in Darfur run by the Genocide Intervention
Program (http://www.standnow.org/darfurfast/civilianProtection).

It can be your way of balancing the scales just a tad, if only for one
day. Members of MIT-STAND will be fasting (from food) for the entire day
tomorrow, i'm sure they could use your encouragement around lunch time :)

*Drop off your donations at MIT-STAND's lobby 10 table tomorrow*

If you have any questions, this short video should clear things up:

Also, pre-sale tickets for the DARFUR FUNDRAISER DINNER (scheduled for
Sunday, Dec 9th 7-9pm in Walker Memorial) are now available at MIT
Amnesty International's table in lobby 10 all this week as well (full
details below). Stop by tomorrow, buy your ticket and sign some
petitions/postcards!

Best,
Kayvan
