[Mitai-announce] DARFUR DAY OF ACTION - SEPTEMBER 21

Dear all,

As promised MIT Amnesty International will be taking part in the call for a 
"Day of Action" on Tuesday, September 21.  We hope you can all join us in the
activities of the day itself as well as helping publicise, spread the word, 
etc.

Here are our plans:

i) WEEKEND: Flyering all over campus - you'll get updates about this and how
            you can help

ii) MONDAY: Lobby 10 Table
            We'll be staffing a Lobby 10 Table all day; Emily will send out
            an e-mail about signing up to help.  The idea with the table is to
            raise awareness in general (information sheets, petitions, etc.)
            as well as to publicise for our event in particular

iii) TUESDAY: Presentation and Letter Writing
              8pm, Room 4-253
        
              Candlelight Vigil
              Immediately following Letter Writing
              Memorial Drive, Mass Ave procession
              End at W20 Steps
