Stu,

unfortunately, if you want the unlimited Mac OS X 10.3 Server, the 
price for higher education institutions is $500. The retail price is 
$1000. The new features are described at 
http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/.

If you don't need the unlimited license version, the 10-user license 
version if $250.
