1. Grad Pride Ice Cream Social!
When: Tuesday, 6/26, 5-6:30 pm

Join GWAMIT in celebrating Pride Month! We'll have ice cream from Toscanini's and glitter crafts! This event is open to all graduate students - both the LGBTQA+ community and allies :)

2. Sign up to help plan the NE GWiSE Retreat!
When: Sign ups are due next Tuesday (6/26) at 7pm, meetings are throughout the summer, event is on August 17th!

Are you interested and passionate about improving the experience for graduate women in STEM through multi-university advocacy work, professional development opportunities, and/or helping schools without GWAMIT-equivalent groups start one? Then New England Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (NE GWiSE<https://negwise.wordpress.com/>), a collaboration between GWAMIT-equivalent groups at 8 schools in the New England area, is the organization for you!

Why should you sign up?

  *   Time commitment is only ~1-2hours per week plus helping at the event day of (not required but extremely rewarding!)
  *   It's an easy way to meet our group and see what we're about
  *   It's a great opportunity to use your skills (or develop new ones!)
  *   In planning and/or attending the event, you'll get the opportunity to network with affiliates of our 8 member schools, develop professionally through workshops, and socialize with an amazing group of graduate women

The theme for this year's retreat is dealing with power dynamics- an issue that affects us all as graduate students! We're currently in the early stages so there's plenty of room for your input and ideas about the keynote speaker, workshops, food, social, media, funding, and logistics.
