********** GW at MIT **********

1. GWAMIT Mentee Applications Open
When: Sign up by Wednesday, September 17
Apply: http://bit.ly/menteesurvey2014
Contact: gwamit-mentor at mit.edu <mailto:gwamit-mentor at mit.edu>

This week, the GWAMIT Mentoring Program has extended applications for women graduate students to be matched with a mentor. In the program, graduate women are mentored by female faculty, alums, or Boston-area professionals. Mentorship can be sought in areas ranging from careers to more personal matters.

Grad women mentees are responsible for meeting with their mentor every month for a minimum of 1 hour and attending a beginning-of-term and end-of-year dinner. After one semester, you can choose to be rematched or leave the program, but we prefer for you to participate for the entire academic year so that you can build a strong relationship with your mentor.

Graduate mentee applications must be submitted here: http://bit.ly/menteesurvey2014 - please sign up by Wednesday, Sep. 17th. Spots are limited, so sign up soon! If you are already part of the program, please fill out the survey as well - even if you plan to continue with your current mentor. If you have a recommendation for a female faculty/alum/professional mentor, questions, or would like more info, please contact gwamit-mentor at mit.edu<mailto:gwamit-mentor at mit.edu>.
