GWAMIT and Women's & Gender Studies are teaming up to organize a creative
feminist event series for 2011-12. We're envisioning a "this is what a
feminist looks like" campaign with a unique MIT twist, engaging our culture
of creativity and hosting brilliant speakers with smart and sassy ideas.

Lauren Celano – founder and CEO at Propel Careers – will give a short
presentation about how to write a good resume. Then we will break up into
small groups and experienced recruiters will review the resume of each
participant.

Please bring copies of your resume/ CV!

This workshop will help make your CV/resume suitable for your next position
or for a change to industry. If you are looking to stay within the academic
track, you also can get help with your academic CV. If you are as yet
undecided about your career path, come and get advice on both options.

5. [Harvard] Boston Women in Chemistry Symposium (Sat, Sept, 24;

Harvard Women in Chemistry is excited to announce the first annual Boston
Women in Chemistry Symposium (Boston WInCS) to be held at Harvard University
on Saturday, September 24, 2011.  The symposium will showcase the excellent
work of female graduate students and post-docs from the greater Boston area
and provide an opportunity for students to meet and mingle with students
from other departments.  Throughout the day students are invited to
participate in poster sessions and give 20-minute talks about their
research.  The symposium will also feature presentations by Prof. Xiowei
Zhuang, Ph.D. from Harvard and Jennifer Feeley, Ph.D. from ExxonMobil.
 Lunch will be provided and we invite you to mingle with your new
acquaintances and colleagues at a wine and cheese reception following the
last event of the day.  Awards for the best talk and poster will be
presented at the reception.

All interested parties including faculty and students are encouraged to
attend the event, but presentations of talks and posters will be limited to
female students and post-docs.

Registration for the first 100 participants is free of charge.  Talk and
poster abstracts may be submitted with your registration. After the first
100 participants, registration will include a $10 registration fee to help

My name is Samira Kiani. I was working in MIT and Whitehead Institute till a
couple of months ago and now I am moving to NYU as a PostDoc. During this
transition period I am working on a side interest which is about fashion
among and for women scientists. I have created a blog for this which is
