Hi Gael,

Looking back on my notes, I now recall I had a discussion on MITgcm-support with regards to locating CS96 grid specification files (~ Feb 27 2020). It turned out that the grid files within .../ecco_for_las/version_4/grids/grids_input/cs_nostretch/ didn’t contain the rotation angle fields that were required. Am I correct in thinking that SPGrid is the software suite I require to generate new grid files?

Kind regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Hopefully someone will fix the network issue soon. Sorry nobody caught it before.

Separately, I need to find a new home for these files (& lots more) as I was told that the underlying computers are getting turned off in a month or so. Will email again once I can give you a permanent archive url for thé grid files.

Best,
Gael

I have been using the ECCO MITgcm configuration as a baseline for a palaeoclimate modelling project. Currently I am using the CS96 configuration but I am interested in running with a higher resolution cube sphere grid. Previously I had turned to http://mit.ecco-group.org/datasets/ecco_for_las/version_4/grids/grids_input/cs_nostretch/<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmit.ecco-group.org%2Fdatasets%2Fecco_for_las%2Fversion_4%2Fgrids%2Fgrids_input%2Fcs_nostretch%2F&data=05%7C01%7CS.Hunter%40leeds.ac.uk%7C95ae0c77303248cbac8508db056f9afd%7Cbdeaeda8c81d45ce863e5232a535b7cb%7C1%7C0%7C638109749136346166%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=Jf%2BTsE6ONZkLujvHRywK22xSxKtnTanuJpkDSlSap70%3D&reserved=0> for the grid specification files but this is now not available. Is there an alternate web address for this directory? I have cube_96 and cube_288 from a previous download but I am interested in intermediate resolutions.

Kind regards,
Stephen
