Hello all,
Sorry for the long dormancy -- I'm back on top of things and will be in
town and more active in September (I've accepted an offer to study for a
PhD at Harvard, working in CS/robotics).

Anyway, I was thinking of submitting a proposal to the Open Source Hardware
conference about the topics we've discussed so far. I don't have a clear
idea of what to say yet, though I do want to promote the ideas propelling
the forming of CAD-discuss, but I figure this would get me off my butt to
get around to organizing/doing a lot of the stuff we talked about last year.

I obviously found the knowledge and energy everyone in this group has
contributed invaluable, and am happy to not submit & let someone else from
the group submit on our behalf, if anyone is particularly excited about it
:) Please just let me know!

I'm happy to help flesh out the proposal, or just provide moral support, if
anyone else wants to speak on behalf of the group.

The call for speaker talks here:

There is an emphasis this year on CAD, which I think is exciting.
