Mailing list for the workshop reading group convened by Shekhar Krishnan and Michael M.J. Fischer at MIT since January 2006. Our group focusses on selected readings in the modern social theory of cities, drawn from traditions of urban history, geography, sociology and anthropology. Our objective is to debate, critique and situate this body of thought in relation to our own sites of historical and ethnographic research in cities in South Asia and the Middle East. To post a message to all the list members, send email to urban-media@mit.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to urban-media
Subscribe to urban-media by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members.
