Northeast Climate Change and Regional Modeling Workshop held May 11, 2012, at MIT Sea Grant College Program, 292 Main Street, E38-300, Cambridge, MA. Acceptance of climate change impacts is on the rise in the northeastern U.S., but town managers and planners often lack the data to implement changes in building codes and zoning by-laws to minimize future impacts to those living along the coast. As part of our Climate Change and Adaptation initiative, MIT Sea Grant College Program is hosting a hands-on workshop (1) to synthesize current understanding of regional climate change and the role of modeling, and (2) to develop climate-related recommendations for the Northeast that will guide future planning efforts.
