[WinPartners] Windows Update issues

I have been checking all my Windows systems and an unusual number of them
have had problems with updating this week.  We had a power interruption on
7/4 and many of them went down uncleanly.  Most were started up and used
this week.  Some auto-updated on schedule without issues.  A few I had to
manually check, updates were found and installed.

Two persistently timed out with the "too many trips to the server" errors.
None of the usual "fixes" changed anything until I re-configured to use the
MS servers instead of MIT.  One is now done and works as expected when
pointed back to MIT WSUS.  The other is still updating.

Has anyone else had issues with updates via MIT recently ?
