[WinPartners] IS&T Releases SAPgui 7.40; Users Must Upgrade Before December 14

Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce the release of SAPgui 7.40 for the Windows<https://ist.mit.edu/sapr3/sapgui/740/win> and Mac<http://ist.mit.edu/sapr3/sapgui/740/mac>OS<https://ist.mit.edu/sapr3/sapgui/740/mac> platforms. This release is part of MIT’s migration to HANA<http://hana.sap.com/abouthana.html>, SAP’s next-generation in-memory database. HANA will enable improved data analytics, APIs<http://www.computerworld.com/article/2593623/app-development/application-programming-interface.html>, mobile-first development, and rapid deployment of applications. Even with these added capabilities, the look and feel of SAPgui 7.40 is nearly identical to the earlier version.

The migration to HANA is scheduled for December 14, 2015. Users will need to upgrade to SAPgui 7.40 before that date for continued access to the SAP production environment. SAPgui 7.40 installers<https://ist.mit.edu/sapr3/sapgui> are available from the IS&T Software Grid and community members are welcome to upgrade now. IS&T will be working with all departments, labs, and centers to ensure a smooth transition to this new SAPgui.
