[WinPartners] For Windows Users: IS&T Announces Support for VMware Workstation 10

Good Afternoon,

Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to offer full support for VMware Workstation 10 for Windows. Workstation 10 lets Windows users install and manipulate supported operating systems in a virtualized environment.

The new features of Workstation 10 can be viewed on VMware's website<http://www.vmware.com/support/ws10/doc/workstation-10-release-notes.html>.

MIT faculty, staff, and students can download Workstation 10<http://ist.mit.edu/vmware-workstation> (certificates required) from IS&T's website free of charge.

The minimum system requirements for Workstation 10 are as follows:
64-bit x86 CPU
LAHF/SAHF support in long mode
1.3GHz or faster core speed

The VMware Workstation 10 installer uninstalls VMware Workstation 9 first. All existing Virtual Machine images will be preserved during the upgrade to Workstation 10.
