[WinPartners] IS&T Releases McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 Patches

Information Services & Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce the release of McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 Patch 3 for Windows 8 and  Patch 2 for all other supported Windows versions.

For Windows XP, Vista, and 7 and Windows Server 2008
For machines running XP, Vista, 7, and Server 2008, users should install Patch 2<https://downloads.mit.edu/released/mcafee/VSE880P2.zip>. This patch contains High Priority updates.

For Windows 8 Users and Windows Server 2012
Users of Windows 8 and Server 2012 must install Patch 3<https://downloads.mit.edu/released/mcafee/VSE880P3.zip> in order to receive assistance from McAfee Support. Patch 3 contains the high priority patch 2 update so installation of both is not necessary. Patch 3 will not install on other operating systems.

Consolidated Installer for New Installations of VirusScan 8.8
For new installations of VirusScan 8.8  on Windows XP, Vista, 7, and Server 2008,  use VirusScan 8.8  with  Patch 2 consolidated installer<https://downloads.mit.edu/released/mcafee/mit-virusscan-8.8-p2.exe>; for new installations on VirusScan 8.8 on Windows 8 and Server 2012, use VirusScan 8.8  with  Patch 3 consolidated installer<https://downloads.mit.edu/released/mcafee/mit-virusscan-8.8-p3.exe>.
