[WinPartners] Invitation to Join the Windows 8 Release Project

Good morning,

Microsoft is expected to release Windows 8 this fall. As with any major operating system release, Windows 8 will have a significant impact on the MIT community. Expected new features include a Metro-style interface designed for touchscreen input, support for both x86 and ARM processors, new authentication methods, and Internet Explorer 10, to name a few.

In anticipation of this release, Information Services & Technology (IS&T) is kicking off a project to evaluate and test Windows 8 in the MIT environment. We would like to invite you to participate.
If you are interested in being involved, please send the following information to the Windows 8 Release Team<mailto:windows8-testers at mit.edu> (windows8-testers at mit.edu):

* Your name and title
* Your department name
* Applications supported

You're also welcome to contact the release team if you have ideas on how to help the community make the transition.
