Good Afternoon,
Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is pleased to announce the release of MIT Kerberos for Windows 4.0.1. MIT Kerberos for Windows is used to obtain credentials (tickets) for authentication in other applications such as SAPgui and SecureCRT.
MIT Kerberos for Windows replaces Kerberos for Windows 3.2.X, also known as Network Identity Manager (NIM). The new version is compatible with 32- and 64- bit machines running Windows XP and higher.
MIT Kerberos for Windows introduces several new features and changes, including:
* An updated, user-friendly interface
* A separate default user name from the Windows Login name
* Different installers for 32- and 64-bit operating systems
* The 64-bit version includes both 64- and 32-bit libraries for use on applicable machines
There are two known issues for Kerberos for Windows 4.0.1:
* Screen reading software such as JAWS does not read menus.
* When you change your password, MIT Kerberos for Windows does not confirm that the change has been completed.
MIT Kerberos for Windows 4.0.1 is available for download on the IS&T web site<http://ist.mit.edu/kerberos/4x/win>. Documentation for the application can be found in the Knowledge Base<http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/x/LI4BCQ>.
