[WinPartners] folder permissions

Hi:

I have a share on my Windows server that has been used by a group of 4 people for quite a long time. They belong to a mailing list called aqua. On Monday one of them could not access the share - message said they did not have authorization. They were not prompted for a username and password. The other 3 could reach the share.

We deleted the shortcut, emptied the trash, restarted the computer and tried to connect again - same message and no prompt for a username and password.

The users attach to the share with their win\kerb username. I also have a local username on the server. The only way we could get the share connected was to map a drive and use the local username and password.

This is a Windows 2003 R2 server. As of right now 1 user has not received the authorization error message.

This happened to another folder a while ago. Some of the people on a list were told they were not authorized. We mapped the drive and used a different username and password.

Thanks
Carol
