Good Afternoon,
Microsoft released Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) Beta to the public on September 15 and is expected to release the final IE9 build by the end of this year. In anticipation of this release, Information Services & Technology (IS&T) has begun to evaluate the beta version of IE9 and would like to invite you to participate. The two-fold focus of this effort is to
* Identify areas of potential impact on the MIT community
* Conduct tests related to MIT web sites - including upgrading to IE9, certificate generation, and certificate usage - while documenting and finding possible workarounds for any conflicts or incompatibility issues
If you have an environment where you can test IE9 Beta with the sites you use for learning and business at MIT, we would appreciate hearing about your experience. You are welcome to participate in the release effort by sending your test results and findings to the IE 9 Release Team<mailto:ie9-release at mit.edu>.
You can download the VMware image of Windows 7 with IE9 Beta preinstalled<https://downloads.mit.edu/pvm-project/win7-x32-ie9.zip> (certificates required).
For more information about IE9 Beta, please visit the Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 Beta page<http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/products/ie-9/home?os=win7&arch=b&browser=ie9>.
Thank you,
Alex Kozlov
