2. Software Release Projects Underway
------------------------------------------------------
VMware Workstation for Windows and Linux and VMware Fusion for the Mac  
are a sample of projects currently underway.  For more information on

3. What's New
------------------------------------------------------
In response to user suggestions, we've added a supported OS and posted  
date field to each download on the Windows and Macintosh software  
download pages.  This information will hopefully make it easier to  
find software and updates that are appropriate for your computer.

4. Volume & Site License Software Update
-------------------------------------------------------
IS&T has taken over responsibility for distributing software,  
documentation and licenses as part of the STATA GradPlan.  Our thanks  
to Mark Leary in Economics for managing this on behalf of MIT for so  
long.  To place an order through the STATA GradPlan, follow the  
instructions in the Special Discount Software section of the VSLS web  
site.  The purchase will be directly with STATA, who will then request  
that VSLS distribute your newly purchased software to you.  Expect a  
2-3 day turn around for orders.

5.  Windows Automatic Update Service (WAUS)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
IS&T recommends users configure their Windows machines to use MIT's  
Windows Automatic Update Service (WAUS) for critical patches and  
service pack deployment.
