[WinPartners] Excel 2007 Serious Multiplication Bug

Good Morning,
Information Services & Technology (IS&T) would like to notify MIT computing
community about serious multiplication Bug in Excel 2007 which causes
incorrect multiplication results in spreadsheets.
The multiplication bug was initially reported in on-line PC Magazine on
September 25, 2007. Here is a link to the article:

IS&T has received a confirmation from Microsoft that there is a bug in Excel
and they are working on a hotfix. The timeline for a hotfix is not yet
known. IS&T is working with Microsoft on getting updated information on this
issue. We will notify the MIT community when there is a fix to this problem.
