Hi Henry,

The Help Desk has sent the following suggestions to a few clients
who have had problems with the hotfixes. We've heard feedback
from one client that the instructions below helped him; it would
be useful to hear whether the steps help you.

For reference, here is are the steps listed in the blog post (with
slight modifications for spelling and readability.)

the open box and click OK.
* Double click the service "Automatic Updates".
* Click on the Log On tab, please ensure the option "Local System
account" is selected and the option "Allow service to interact with
  desktop" is unchecked.
* Check if this service has been enabled on the listed Hardware

* Click on the tab "General"; make sure the "Startup Type" is
"Automatic". Then please click the button "Start" under "Service
  Status" to start the service.
* Repeat the above steps with the other service: Background
  Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)

Part 2
* Click on Start and then click Run,
* In the open field type "REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL" (without quotation

-- REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL

Part 3

following command in the opened window.
"net stop WuAuServ"
(note, you might need to reboot before the net stop command will work)

* Click Start, Run, type: "%windir%" and press Enter.
* In the opened folder, rename the folder "SoftwareDistribution" to "SDold".
* Click Start, Run, type: "cmd" and press Enter. Please run the
