Sorry for the delay, but I said I'd share some follow-up topics from Monday's meeting:

One of the Wake-on-LAN tools I've had some success in using-

They have command-line (includes a VB/ASP scripting com object) and gui utilities for
remote system power-up.  Requirements aren't listed on the site, but they generally include:
- knowledge of the remote system's MAC address
- pre-set power and/or NIC configuration in the BIOS

The most common port numbers I've seen used are 8900 (and I believe Dell's Open Manage
uses 6800), although I've seen some lower numbered ports used as well.
