Greetings!

I am writing to you today for two purposes. First, I'd like to introduce
myself. My name is Andrew Yu, and I am the new Mobile Devices Platform
Coordinator in Information Services and Technology. Having experienced
various facets of the mobile world over the past few years, I hope to
partner with MIT community members to identify, recommend, and deploy
various mobile solutions that will benefit everyone. 

I would also like to invite you to join the Mobile Partners User Group so we
can work together on this exciting and dynamic topic.

While the purpose of the Mobile Partners User Group will evolve over time it
will initially serve to gather input from the MIT community on what mobile
solutions are necessary and desired. We hope to reflect this input and
feedback into actionable tasks. Due to the vast and rapidly changing nature
of the mobile world we may not be able to accommodate everyone's needs.
However, I sincerely hope to work with the User Group to develop appropriate
solutions and timing that will meet most community needs. 

The User Group will also provide a forum to share some of the existing
solutions, success stories, and pains, as well as share experiences in
various hardware devices, software applications, wireless services, security
issues, and WAP solutions to inform future decisions on mobile device
support. 

We will hold monthly meetings with the place and time TBD. Please let me
know what topics you would like to see covered in the future by replying to
andrewyu at mit.edu.
