[WinPartners] Captured video to DVD?

Hello to all:
I have a Mac G3 and a Sony Hi8 camcorder with firewire cable. I used this
combination to capture home video and converted it to Quicktime MOV files.
Budgetwise, I cannot get the suitable utilities to convert the MOV files
to MPEG2, compress them, and burn them to DVD. I'm now looking to my
Pentium 3 machine to do the task.
What program(s) do people recommend for the task? Commercial, shareware,
whatever. I'm open to any/all ideas. I can easily pick up a firewire
card if I end up re-capturing the video.
The existing MOV files look perfect during playback on my Mac, so I see
no reason why I should need to recapture them. I can easily transfer
them over my home network to my PC's hard drive and go from there.
So, what suggestions/leads/ideas do you all recommend to turn the MOV
files into DVDs? Some of the videos are an hour long, taking an average
of 12 to 13 Gig each. I have all the time needed to do the transferring
- I just need the suggested programs for MOV -> DVD to complete the task.
Thanks much.
Scott
