3. Mac OS 9 Retirement:
---------------------------------------
We would like to take this opportunity to remind the community that all
versions of Mac OS 9 will be retired on June 30, 2004. Although we are
anticipating some level of support beyond the transition period,
Departments, Labs and Centers who have not migrated to Mac OS X 10.3 should
plan to do so. Mac OS 9 applications will be moved to the Archive section
of the Software Download page to accommodate the transition and will remain
there until August 1.

4. Volume Site License Software Update
----------------------------------------------------------
As the fiscal year 2004 comes to a close, several of the licenses with 1
year expiring license keys are up for renewal including ABAQUS, Mathematica
and Ideas. If you use these packages and have not already ordered a
license for FY2005, you should do so today so that you can continue to use
the software without interruption. To request a license for the upcoming
year, visit our site. Please note that the way you request software may
have changed and we encourage you to read the instructions on the web
site. We are changing the way you order things to make it easier for you
and for us so that we can process your requests quicker.

We are also processing requests for Matlab R14. If you have purchased a
license for this year through us for Matlab, you can get your updated R14
license key by sending e-mail to vsls at mit.edu with your Invoice # for your
Matlab R13 order.
