[WinPartners] Update on XP SP2 timing

Good afternoon,

Microsoft has altered the delivery schedule for SP2 through Automatic 
Update for the Professional version of Windows XP based on feedback from 
their corporate customers according to information I am hearing from other 
higher educational institutions.

The current timing, which I have not been able to confirm with Microsoft is:

8/16/2004 (today) - SP2 delivered via Automatic Update to Windows XP Home 
Edition
8/25/2004 - SP2 delivered via Automatic Update to Windows XP Professional 
Edition

I will send more information as we get it.  Since this is the first time 
Microsoft has delivered a service pack via Automatic Update, we may see 
additional changes to the timing.  This should provide a better window to 
ensure that SP2 doesn't cause major disruptions at MIT.
