Faculty Position Stagecraft and A/V & Technical Manager (Part time Position)
Reports to Arts Chair / Director of Community Outreach

Job Overview

Qualified person will oversee and run all aspects of the technical and A/V needs in the Simon Center 
for the Arts including Morse Hall. Events produced here are both school and community related.
Flexible scheduling and includes some weekends, after school and evening work.
This position also includes a faculty position to teach one 75-minute class per week of Stagecraft 
which integrates closely with the Drama department and the production of three annual school plays.

Responsibilities and Duties

Oversee all aspects of event and theatrical productions including but not limited to: safety,
lighting, projection, audio, staging and props for all events
Teach a once a week Stagecraft class to up to 12 students that integrates with Drama
Ensure that all aspects of the event conform to current life safety codes and requirements
Act as a primary carpenter in the scene shop
Other duties as assigned by the Arts Chair/ Dir. Of Community Outreach

Qualifications

BFA/MFA in Technical Production or Technical Direction Management preferred.
Three-years of experience in a comparable environment with a proven record of success
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and handle extensive standing, walking and ladder climbing.
Ability to remain calm and productive in difficult situations demonstrating good people skills and
sense of humor.
