Springfield College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Stage
Production in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts, who could also
serve on an hourly or per production contract as Scenic Designer and
Technical Director for the department’s theater program, which produces one
play each semester. The Stage Production class is an introduction for
non-majors to the concepts and practice of stage design, including training
and supervising students in the scene shop and in the backstage operations
of a production. This position has also been combined with the opportunity
to work as technical director/scenic designer on an hourly basis or per
show fee. Successful candidates will have an MA or MFA as well as college
level teaching experience.
