[Usittne] Special light when there are people in the grid

I’d like to have some sort of on-the-stage-floor-level light that can be turned on when there are people in the grid overhead.  I think a strobe or even police car bubble like light would be an unwelcome distraction, yet I’d like it to be a strong enough presence that people know it’s on.

Have any of you invented this particular wheel?
