Lecturer in Theatre

University of Maine Technical Theatre- Production Management, Technical Direction Rank: Lecturer. Full-time, begins August 31, 2015. Duties: Teach courses and academic labs within the theater major and the theater technology minor.  Mentor and
advise theater students interested in theater technology. Perform duties as the Technical Director/Production Manager for all Theatre/Dance productions.  Maintain and oversee safe operation of the scenic studio and stage spaces. This is an academic
year (9-month) position. Summer expectations, with corresponding compensation, include management of the Summer Music Theatre Festival. Requirements: An MFA or similar degree in technical theatre, experience teaching undergraduates, and knowledge of
generally accepted theatrical practice in lighting, sound, and scenic production are required.  Experience in AutoCAD or Vectorworks is required.  Must have good communication skills and show ability to exercise independent initiative, manage
