SAINT MICHAEL'S PLAYHOUSE 2014 Season

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Saint Michael's Playhouse is an Equity summer theater with fully equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium theater on college campus. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, RING OF FIRE. Two week build per production.  Responsibilities include preparation of working drawings, specing of  material, working within budgets, and overseeing staff of shop supervisor, Master Carpenter, and interns. SCENE SHOP SUPERVISOR
Saint Michael's Playhouse is an Equity summer theater with fully equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium theater on college campus. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, RING OF FIRE. Two week build per production.  Responsibilities include managing scene shop, construction, training of staff. Successful candidate should be proficient in reading and interpreting drafting, have a successful track record in scenic construction, simple rigging and a desire to work with and train interns to accomplish steps toward their career goals.  Duties include daytime work and the possibility of evening crew. Shop Supervisor begins in advance of rest of staff. May 18 - August 10.  Housing provided. MASTER CARPENTER
Saint Michael's Playhouse Summer Internship Program position. SMP is a professional Equity CORST theater with a fully equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium theater on college campus. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, RING OF FIRE. Seeking candidates with high level of previously acquired skills in scenic construction and installation.  Duties will include construction of select projects for each show during daytime work calls and potentially evening running crews. Contract from June 1 - August 10. $200 weekly plus room and board. PROPERTY MASTER
Saint Michael's Playhouse is an Equity summer theater with fully equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium theater on college campus. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, RING OF FIRE. Two week build per production.  Property Master works closely with Directors, Scenic Designers and TD. Duties include procuring and/or building props, supervising at least one intern, possibility of evening crew. June 1 - August 2. COSTUME SHOP SUPERVISOR
Saint Michael's Playhouse is an Equity summer theater with fully equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium theater on college campus. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, RING OF FIRE. Two week build per production.  Must possess extensive knowledge of costume construction, and strong organizational skills. Duties include managing shop, tracking budgets, building, shopping, maintaining costumes, supervising and small training intern staff. Housing provided. May 26- August 10. MASTER ELECTRICIAN
Saint Michael's Playhouse is a professional AEA CORST theater in Vermont with a fully equipped, air-conditioned, 366-seat, proscenium theater on college campus. Hands-on position with duties that include inventory maintenance, executing/ maintaining lighting design, hang, focus, changeovers, and board-op, for four full-scale productions of the 2013 summer season. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, RING OF FIRE. Two week build per production.  Work with Lighting Designers, and technical staff.  Seeking high level of expertise in electrics and experience programming an Ion.  Desire to work with and train interns to accomplish steps toward their career goals. Housing provided. INTERNSHIPS - PRODUCTION
Paid $200 weekly plus room and board. Interns work closely with professional directors, designers, staff and equity actors. Schedules are rigorous; day AND evening crews. Four equity productions YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, RING OF FIRE, and two non-equity children's shows. Seeking candidates with previously acquired skills in scenery, props, costumes, electrics, sound and stage management.  Applicants must show a strong interest in furthering professional development and a commitment to working in an equity stock theater. Internship runs from May 30-August 10. INTERNSHIPS - ADMINISTRATIVE
Paid $200 weekly plus room and board. Interns work in variety of administrative areas, and production as needed. Schedules are rigorous; day AND evening crews. Four professional equity productions YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, FOX ON THE FAIRWAY, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, RING OF FIRE, and two non-equity children's shows. Seeking candidates with previously acquired skills in area of arts administration and customer service. Applicants must show strong interest in furthering professional development and a commitment to working in an equity stock theater. Internship runs May 30-August 10.
