Dear colleagues,
I am doing some research for the USITT Publications Committee --I am a serving member. The committee is working on a potential book that will feature "Masters of Allied Crafts". The idea is to have scenic artist, technical directors, cutter/drapers, props masters, Wig Masters, etc. etc etc. featured in the book. The book will be a reference book aimed a early carer folks and practicing technicians.
As I first step, I have been charged with compiling a list of (50) potential names. We are looking for folks who have contributed professionally in their areas of expertise both in academic settings and other professional venues. For example one of the folks we are looking at is: Jay Duckworth, he is in residency at the Public Theatre in NYC. www.proptologist.com<http://www.proptologist.com>
I have to come up with a list by October 1st or so… So, If you have ideas, could you email me names and websites of folks you would like to see featured in a book like this? This would be much appreciated.
Happy Fall semester!
