Great Opportunity for Student and Faculty Lighting and Scenic Designers this Summer in Upstate NY!

Know Theatre of Binghamton, NY seeks set and lighting designs for its Second Annual Kennedy Center American College Theatre Fesival (KCACTF) Region I Summer Playwrights Festival, July 18-21. This year's plays are: RAIN FELL UP by Jaclyn Villano; W4M by MJ Halberstadt; THE WALPOLE DEFENDER by Evan Allis; and the winner of the national John Cauble Award for Outstanding Short Play, THE LIGHTHOUSE by Michael S. Parsons. Special guests include Gary Garrison, Executive Director of Creative Affairs for the Dramatists Guild; Gregg Henry, Artistic Director of KCACTF; and Brandt Reiter, Chair of Playwriting for Region 1.

Travel to Binghamton is not necessary; scripts, floor plans of the theatre and its lighting capability will be provided to all those interested, and designs may be submitted through email. As all four plays run each evening, the theatre seeks designers of creativity and ingenuity who can provide a single design that will serve all plays. No pay, but a great opportunity for exposure, experience, and credit.

PLEASE RESPOND ASAP so a plan of action can get rolling on our end.
