Wardrobe Supervisor Position



For: The Boston Conservatory Mainstage Productions

Location: 31 Hemenway St, Boston, MA





Seeking a Wardrobe Supervisor for all mainstage productions for our
2012-‘13 performance season.  Hourly position, nights and weekends required.



Responsibilities:



   - Meets with Costume Shop Manager (CSM) before each production begins to
   go over specifics for the show
   - Attends tech rehearsal to view run through as required for each
   performance
   - Assists CSM with load out/load in to the performance space, as needed
   - Setup dressing room areas with crew, make sure all garments are
   labeled correctly and in the right space
   - Supervises freshman crew and possibly overhire crew (if necessary for
   show size)
   - Designates crew member to cover each quick change/create paperwork for
   tracking
   - Designates tasks to Wardrobe Crew as needed for smooth run
   - Maintains all costumes and possibly wigs throughout the run of the show
   - Cleans/sterilizes costumes, and may maintain wigs throughout the run
   of the show as time/delicacy allows
   - Keeps dressing room areas clean during run/cleans dressing room areas
   at strike
   - Organize and oversee strike of show, and as discussed with CSM and
   designer, either organizes for items to be ready for dry cleaning pickup or
   launders as needed



Minimum qualifications; Bachelors degree, prior work as wardrobe manager or
lead dresser, great with costume repairs.  Familiarity with wigs is
helpful. EOE.
