[Usittne] Trip Lips

How experienced is your consultant with performing arts spaces?  I don't
believe OSHA mentions any kind of trip lip as suitable edge protection in
any of the Chapter 1926 regulations.  I'd ask your consultant to show you
the relevant passage, and any references to past OSHA rulings regarding the
edges of performance areas.

As some others have mentioned, we do occasionally provide a illuminated
edge when the production warrants it.  Back in the pre-LED days, this was a
string of twinkle lights hidden behind a flat piece of 1x3.  Lamps at the
center and quarter marks were colored.
