[Usittne] Trip Lips

I remember some years ago, Dr. Doom saying that you need an illuminated line at the front edge of the stage so that its clearly visible in a blackout. If I remember correctly, the suggestion was to use electroluminescent wire in a grove cut into the stage floor at an angle so the EL wire is basked from the audience by the angle of the grove, but visible to anyone on stage - to my mind, that would do more good then a trip lip, which seems likely to cause a worse fall - at least to me.

Subject: [Usittne] Trip Lips

I’m being told to install a trip lip on the front edge of my stage by the OSHA consultant my school has brought in. Has anyone else been asked to do this? I don’t think I am seeing them when I visit other theatres, but I wanted to check around before I start pushing back.
Thanks!
