Aerial Rigging Week
Where: Simply Circus Gym, 86 Los Angeles Street, Newton, MA.
When: Monday, Aug 29 - Friday, Sep 2, 2011
Who should take this: Anyone who wants to learn more about the process of circus or aerial dance rigging.
Supporting Materials: Each participant will receive a USB drive with all handouts and a mountain of supporting materials.

- Chinese Poles

- Tightwires
- Harnesses (including wall dancing and general flying)

- Force and force amplification
- Common situations and best practices
- Rigging from wood beams
- Rigging from steel beams
- Rigging from trusses
- Rigging from battens
- Rigging from bridle points
- Rigging a-frame trapeze rigs
- Rigging freestanding aerial rigs
- Rigging from trees (yes, it CAN be done safely, though we don't recommend it)
- Pulley rigging

Cost: $1,600 per person
The fee includes breakfast and lunch daily, as well as all materials. $250 discount for full time college students.
Fee does not include hotel costs.
